I studied Ecology at the University of Bremen with a profound interest in insect interactions. During my master's thesis, I investigated the effect of different ethanol concentrations on Drosophila suzukii's patch choice behavior with the help of camera traps. By simulating yeast presence on food patches through ethanol addition, I explored the dynamics between the effect of a change in ethanol concentrationin as an environmental factor and the patch choice of the fruit fly. My current work as a research assistant involves the interaction of bees and wasps with their environment, and I have actively focused on the identification of bees and wasps based on their nest architecture as well as their nesting behavior.
